My Heroine

Origin: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Lights is her official name. cool right?
Her music genre is ElectroPop, which is totally not my type.
But after listening, i fell in love with her voice and her lyrical talents.

She also has an influence on me artistically, cause drawing is also her talent.
After knowing her better, (through vidblog and uStream chats), she becomes the one who tells me
"It's okay to be different or weird"
and I feel better about myself after listening to her.

My Hero

Birthday: 27th June 1983
Origin: Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Evan is actually Avril's best friend and ex-guitarist.
What I love about him? His personality. Seriously, when you're sad or discouraged, approach him, it works wonders.
Evan also doesnt call his fans "fans", he refer to them as Family and Friends.
The correct term is "The Blacklist Club". As long as you listen to his music, support him, attend his shows, you're part of the Blacklist Club Family.
I'm part of a group called "Briefcase Division", we are the few members who have been supporting him long before the others.
and yes, we do get privileges. ;)

Avril Lavigne is an inspiration and motivation for me.
theres just something bout her voice, her life, her attitude, her believes.

Listening to her music changed my perspective of things.
She also inspired me to take up music. And the first song i played on the guitar was "Nobody's Home"

This is a blogpost dedicated to introduce my new idol to you guys.
You may be like "oh man, not again!" haha, but im telling you:

If I wanted to, I would keep her a secret and have her all to myself.

But foreseeing that i may wanna share some of her news on my blog, i decided that i should let everyone who reads my blog know bout her.

One of my forum friends, Callie (from canada), introduced her to me. I dont usually listen to bands or singers my friends introduce to me as I prefer my own band-hunting, going for MY type of genres.

haha, if you're wondering "sorry, Lights? thats her name?".

Yes, she officially changed it to Lights, her original name was Valerie Poxleitner.

When Callie sent me one of her songs "Saviour", i told myself im just gonna give her a try, since Lights is pretty cool for a name.

Then it came on ElectroPop music (which is totally not my genre), and BAM! I fell in love with her voice.
Yea, just like that.

Honestly, im surprised that im listening to songs of this genre. But when i listened to Lights, i dont even realise its ElectroPop. Her voice and the lyrics are just Oh-So-Beautiful.

Songs like Face up talks about when times are tough, you gotta keep moving on, keep your face up. Lions! (yea, with the !)tells you not to be afraid. Pretend reminds me of the things we used to do when we were still young and innocent. Saviour has really really cool lyrics. Ice has a really fast part that she sings and you'll go "wow!".

You may not like her at first, but the more you listen, the more you know the lyrics, you'll start to like her. okay, maybe not.

but for me it worked this way.
